Which is better, a large supermarket store or a small grocery store?
Today, most people like to shop in large supermarket stores, not small grocery stores. They think small grocery stores are too small to get anything which they want. Due to this case, let’s talk about what differences are between large supermarket stores and small grocery stores in three ways: the price, the service and food.
Customers can get lower price in large supermarket stores, while small grocery stores provide customers with higher price. Due to the financial drawback, life is getting harder and harder. People concern with products which are cheap enough or not expensive when they purchase them. Large supermarket stores import larger amount of food products at one time, so they can sell their products in lower price to shoppers. Moreover, large supermarket stores offer discounts to customers on special holidays.
Customers may enjoy better services in large supermarket stores. Did you remember the first time you walked into large supermarket stores and how you feel? You may be surprised at those clerks who were trained to be polite. They wore big smiles and were energetic. You may think that shopping in the large supermarket stores is the best thing. Furthermore, large supermarket stores also provide customers with many paybacks and hold a lot of promotion activities to them, such as free parking tickets, free vouchers, free delivery and so on. However, in small grocery stores, they never provide those services.
Large supermarket stores are larger surly, so they may have more different food products than small grocery stores. In Taiwan, large supermarket stores like Carrefour, Dollars and Costco sell more than 1,500 products including exotic food, but small grocery stores don’t. The reason is that small grocery stores need to consider their cost and spaces so that they can’t sell more products than and more different products from large supermarket stores.
As mentioned above, large supermarket stores and small grocery stores get so many differences. But customers only can enjoy better service, and get lower prices and choose more food in large supermarket stores. Those reasons tell people why large supermarket stores are better than small grocery stores.
